Phish :: April 15, 16, & 17 :: Las Vegas, NV
Well, Vegas Phish
has come and gone. Did it live up to all the Vegas hype? Well of course it did--in some ways. Gather up most of your favorite people in the whole world, throw
them together in a city full of sin that feels like its own planet, and add a nightly soundtrack of your favorite band ever. That's not
a bad way to spend a weekend.
Musically, Phish left us wanting more as they sometimes do. Thursday night
was somewhat awkward and certainly disappointing, possibly due to the absence of Kuroda lights which had to be distracting for the band. (A friend even suggested that trillionaires from Silicon
Valley showed up as the Imposter Phish that night.) But in classic Phish form the boys came back strong on Friday
and Saturday giving the faithfulls reason to raise their arms to the sky in triumph.
All in all, Phish once again let us renew our pure love for that unpredictable
live rock 'n' roll musical experience that allows us to honestly feel every moment
for whatever it is.
JamBase Photographer Adam George was on the scene. Please enjoy these photos
and relive some of the glory that was Vegas Phish. Thanks for playing!
