SCI ALMOST WINTER TOUR: FOOD AND TOY DRIVE

  • Send to a Friend

Through your generous donations, the East Coast food drives on String Cheese Incident's Fall Tour raised roughly 8,000 lbs. of food for local America's Second Harvest Food Share Affiliates.

2002 Everett Poster
Because of the overwhelming response to the food drives, we're going to do it again out west, but this time with a special holiday twist! Many of you West Coast fans were disappointed that you didn't have an opportunity to collect the Michael Everett limited edition three-panel masterpiece offered up on the recent East Coast tour. Now you'll have your chance. As usual, you can bring 10 low-sodium or health-oriented canned food items to any of the West Coast Incidents, but you'll only be able to redeem them for one of the outer posters of Everett's limited edition three-panel, or 20 items for both.

Want the middle panel, too? As the holiday season approaches, there are children in communities around the nation who won't know the simple joy of opening one gift this season. Just bring 1-2 new toys in their original packaging (no wrapping paper, please), each with a minimum value of $10. Toys suitable for teens are especially needed. Anyone that donates $250 dollars worth of toys (with receipts), or a $250 gift certificate to Wal-Mart* will receive the Everett three-panel signed by the entire String Cheese Incident. All food donations collected on this tour will be distributed locally. Toys will be delivered to the poorest county in the United States, Shannon County, South Dakota, where the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation is located.

During this holiday season, our community can truly make a difference for some of the most poverty-stricken areas in the United States. On behalf of the String Cheese Incident and the Conscious Alliance, we thank all of you for your contribution in taking the love within our community and radiating it outwards.

*Wal-Mart was selected because it is the most convenient location for families of Shannon County, SD.
