Now in its 15th year, the Warren Haynes Christmas Jam has become a part of the holiday season for
many in the South. Years ago at a small club in Asheville (45 Cherry St.), Warren and several other local musicians began to play together when they were all
home for the holidays, the group decided to donate all proceeds to local charities.
Over the years, organizations supporting Vietnam Veterans, AIDS charities and
homeless relief groups have all benefited from the concert. About five years ago
the group found a permanent recipient in Habitat for Humanity.
