Groovatron is a band on the rise. This funk rock sextet from Chicagoland and Northwest Indiana, busted onto the jamband scene in early 2002 and have quickly risen to become one of the Midwest's top drawing college acts.

Their philosophy has been simple... perform as many shows as humanly possible. In fact, Groovatron has performed over 250 shows since the beginning of 2002 (they are on pace to break 175 shows in 2003 alone!) But what is more impressive than Groovatron's quantity of shows is the quality of the gigs they have been playing. Groovatron has linked up with just about every jamband under the sun. They've jammed onstage with Peter Apfelbaum of the Trey Anastasio Band, Vince Welnick of the Grateful Dead, and the Dirty Dozen Brass Band. Groovatron has landed festival slots at numerous events including the 2002 and 2003 Summer Camp Festival hosted by moe., Schwagstock 19 in Lake Ozark, Missouri where they performed from 1am until sunrise on the 4th of July, and The Taste of Chicago which boasts an annual attendance of over 3.5 million people. They've linked up with acts like Keller Williams, Karl Denson's Tiny Universe, John Scofield Band, The Codetalkers featuring Col. Bruce Hampton, David Grisman Quintet, Drums and Tuba, ekoostik hookah, Garaj Mahal, Jacob Fred Jazz Odyssey, Om Trio, Particle, Jazz Mandolin Project, The Wailers, and more! And they've done all this in less than two years!!
