As the sun came up at Bonnaroo on Sunday morning, keyboardist Steve Molitz said to the crowd, "Whenever you see us next time, just say ‘we were there,’ and we will know exactly what you are talking about." The high point of the Particle summer tour so far was the marathon five-hour breakfast set at Bonnaroo, which lasted well past 8am. The crowd was so pumped from the performance that they would not let the band off the stage.

Particle has continued to ride that high from Bonnaroo throughout the summer at many other big festivals like Summerfest and Gathering of the Vibes. The band is also happy to announce their debut album Launchpad is now complete and fans can look forward to the release later this year. A CD sampler from the album is being handed out at festivals across the country this summer.
Particle fans also saw the debut of new originals this tour like the funky "Fox Force Five," the hard-driving jams of "1st Base" and "Zia" and the funny punk rock tune "Yerba Mate." The band has also been playing new covers such as Kraftwerk’s "We Are the Robots," Steve Ray Vaughn’s instrumental take on "Little Wing," and recently Aerosmith’s "Lost Child."
The band will enjoy a short break this week while warming up for a great run of shows in California. On Friday, July 18th they will play at the majestic Great American Music Hall in San Francisco with special guests Pseudopod opening. On Saturday, July 19th the band will take the stage at the beautiful El Rey Theater in Hollywood with super-hot Bay Area stars Tea Leaf Green. This is Particle’s first 2 set show in Los Angeles this year and the band looks forward to throwing a great party with plenty of surprises and new material.
Particle will then make a trip to Alaska for the Talkeetna Music Festival in early August then fly out for a run along the east coast which includes Berkfest and a big 2 set show at the Bowery Ballroom in NYC with RAQ opening the show.
