The
Dirty Dozen Brass Band will be bringing the party back home during the 2003
New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival. In addition to their performance
on the Louisiana Heritage Stage at the Fairgrounds
on Friday, April 25th, y'all have an opportunity to get "DIRTY" every
night of the festival. In what is quickly becoming the place to be and be seen,
the Dirty Dozen Brass Band will be holding court at Twi-Ro-Pa
Mills, in the Tchoupitoulas Room from Thursday, April 24th through Sunday May
4th as part of the Superfly
JazzFest at Night Concert Series. The Dozen will be joined by old and new friends
and fans alike during the residency and will be recording the performances on
May 1st through May 3rd for their first live release in over 10 years. So you
can count on the fact that the Tchoupitoulas Room will be going off nightly with
ET, Roger, Kevin and the rest of the band bringing the heat. Tickets are available
through www.superflypresents.com
and at the door for $12.
In conjunction with this historic residency, the Dirty Dozen Brass Band has launched
their first ever website.
This site will continue to give Dozen fans the up-to-the-minute news on the band
along with tourdates, streaming audio and video, and other goodies. Check in at
www.dirtydozenbrass.com
and get in on the launch contest to win yourself a dope limited edition Dirty
Dozen Brass Band poster designed by Gary Houston! And with JazzFest just one day
away, remember the motto passed on by the Dozen a few years back... "Feet
Can't Fail Me Now, My Feet Can't Fail Me Now!"
