Those who caught a fleeting glimpse of Roger Waters at Shoreline Amphitheater in Mountain View, CA, on Sunday night were treated to riveting selections from the Pink Floyd catalogue, the best of his solo work, and, as always, stimulating Floyd-esque visuals. Waters, the "heart and soul" of Pink Floyd, was backed by an eight-piece band and switched between playing the bass and acoustic guitar. Highlights included: Another Brick in the Wall Part II, Mother, Wish You Were Here, Shine On, Breathe, Time, Perfect Sense, Brain Damage/Eclipse and Comfortably Numb. The show was a startling reminder of the intensity, ambiance and captivating sound of the band that first let us in on the secret that "all you touch and all you see is all your life will ever be."
