On Friday, November 22nd and Saturday, November 23rd the Steve Kimock Band will perform a special two-night engagement at the elegant Black Orchid Supper Club in Chicago, Illinois (230 W. North Ave, 3rd floor). In addition, these shows are being held as an awareness and fundraiser to help benefit the Rex Foundation.
Steve Kimock will appear with the current line-up of SKB that includes Rodney Holmes (drums), Mitch Stein (guitar), and Alphonso Johnson (bass). This will be the only performance by the entire band this Fall since the end of September. They will travel abroad to Japan and Hawaii at the beginning of December and they will finish off 2002 with a four-night Colorado run. Check out details for Kimock's upcoming shows.
The Rex mission is to help secure a healthy environment, promote individuality in the arts, provide support to critical and necessary social services, assist others less fortunate than ourselves, protect the rights of indigenous people and ensure their cultural survival, build a stronger community, and educate children and adults everywhere.
Tickets for this event are $30 and are available at the door. A portion of the proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to the Rex Foundation. Doors will open at 7pm.
Chicagoland denizens will also be treated to a very special Sunday night (11/24) acoustic show with Steve Kimock and Pete Sears at the Boulevard Cafe. This will be a great weekend filled with MagiKimock in the Windy City!
