ANOTHER ONE LOST: LAKE TROUT STILL SEARCHING

  • Send to a Friend

Capturing the human experience, fragile vulnerability, and a spectrum of emotions on their new album, Lake Trout has evolved into a timeless songwriting entity with Another One Lost. The themed CD, released independently in May of 2002, is thick with dark overtones and cinematic sound-scapes that offer deep, infectious melodies and lyrics. While the down-tempo compositions are a sharp turn from the light-speed drum-n-bass and break-beat pieces on their last live release (Alone at Last), the new album is a breath of fresh air in the current musical climate. Lake Trout provides listeners with a soothing, yet bittersweet soundtrack for life that flows in the most smooth and fluent manner.

The live shows this Fall and Winter will feature material from most of Lake Trout’s four albums, as well as some currently un-released new compositions, which is bound to delight fans. During performances, Lake Trout delves into gentle, ambient instrumentals and ethereal vocal pieces as well as hardcore/metal passages and thundering drum-n-bass sections. The fresh, timeless feel of the music is reminiscent only of such bands as Pink Floyd or Radiohead.

Lake Trout brings their brand of ‘new rock’ to many East Coast cities and college towns this Fall, and is currently planning tours of the Midwest and West Coast for early 2003.
