ANDERS OSBORNE RETURNS TO NYC | 07.02.02

You might know Anders Osborne from his passionate performances at the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival or at Rock & Bowl, but you rarely find him performing outside of the Sin City. However, New York City is proud to get Anders and his all-star band back to the Big Apple for one night - July 2nd at Tribeca Blues.

Covering every genre from the Delta blues to American roots, Anders is a complete package: a soulful vocalist, acclaimed singer/songwriter and blazing slide guitarist who frequently evokes comparison to the late Little Feat front-man Lowell George. His latest album has a guest appearance by Keb’ Mo, for whom Anders penned a Grammy-winning song. In addition to Anders, the band consists of tuba man Kirk Joseph (of Dirty Dozen Brass Band fame), saxophonist Tim Green (Peter Gabriel sideman) and fiery drummer Kevin O’Day; together they create true bliss onstage.

The show will be a guaranteed scorcher with the new, fully upgraded sound system at Tribeca Blues. (This new system is sure to put this downtown room on the map again after the 9/11 tragedy.) So come out and kick off your July 4th festivities a little early! Rest assured that Anders and his band of veterans will bring their A-game, so be prepared for a night of searing blues with that special NOLA twist we know and love.
