The second annual Family A-Faire festival will take place June 14th, 15th and 16th at Horning’s Hideout, just outside of Portland, Oregon. Featuring an eclectic lineup of jam, funk, rock, hip-hop and reggae, this event will include two stages of music, a latenight tent showcasing three of the West Coast’s top lighting companies, kids’ space and an expansive vending area.
Friday night’s lineup includes the psychedelic rock mastery of the Steve Kimock Band, the powerful straightforward rock of Jerry Joseph and the Jackmormons and a latenight show by Robert Walter's 20th Congress that’s sure to feature a multitude of special guests.
Saturday, Charlie Hunter will amaze audience members with his custom built eight-string guitar, and Karl Denson's Tiny Universe will drive the masses into a funk-laden stupor before the jam-funk supergroup Garaj Mahal delights the latenight crowd.
Sunday’s lineup includes Pharcyde’s mix of hip-hop, rap and humor and independent hip-hop creators 3MG (Members of Living Legends.) Garaj Mahal will follow-up their latenight gig from the previous night with a set on the main stage after The Abyssinians share their reggae groove.
Rounding out the bill will be Souls of Mischief, Modereko, Carlos Washington & The Giant People Ensemble, Granola Funk Express, Heavyweight Dub Champion and Ashbury Park Trio as well as a number of regional acts.
The setting, Horning’s Hideout, is a private fishing and camping retreat located just half-an-hour west of Portland, Oregon. The grounds include pristine forestland, a beautiful lake and rolling meadows in addition to the comfortably sized amphitheater where the music will be made.
Weekend passes are $100 in advance and are available through JamBaseTickets.com, Fastixx and SCI Ticketing. Passes can be purchased at the gate for $110, and a limited number of single-day passes will be available for Sunday, if space permits. Camping is included in the price of admission, but parking will cost an extra $10 per car.
Resonant Wave Productions is producing the event, along with Gemini Productions. More information is available at the Family A-Faire website.
