Big Star's Andy Hummel R.I.P.

Andy Hummel, a co-founder of ultra influential Big Star, has died of cancer at age 59. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Hummel's family and friends, and JamBase offers up our heartfelt thanks for Andy's contribution to rock 'n' roll. Hummel's death falls just four months after Alex Chilton's sudden passing, leaving drummer Jody Stephens as the last living member of the original Big Star lineup.
