NYC'S JAZZ STANDARD SWINGS INTO NEW YEAR

The Jazz Standard, one of the nation's premier jazz clubs, presents another month of great jazz in January. From January 7–10 master pianist Kenny Barron with an all star quintet, followed on January 12–14 by guitarist David Gilmore and his exceptional new band Numerology. ECM recording group FLY – the trio of Mark Turner, Larry Grenadier, and Jeff Ballard – will hold forth from January 21–24.
Jazz Standard continues their celebrated Mingus Mondays residency with performances by the Mingus Big Band (January 11 and 25) and Mingus Orchestra (January 18).
All show times are at 7:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m., with an additional 11:30 p.m. show on Fridays and Saturdays. Jazz Standard is located at 116 E. 27th Street (between Lexington and Park). Take train 6 to E. 28th Street.
