Taylor Hollingsworth: Life With A Slow Ear Out November 3, 2009

Taylor Hollingsworth
Taylor Hollingsworth will release his sophomore album, Life With A Slow Ear, on Team Love Records on November 3, 2009. You can hear the first track, "I Didn’t Know It Was the Devil" here. Born and raised in Alabama, Taylor has not only performed his own heartfelt creations opening for friends The Felice Brothers, but he has also most recently found himself on the open road as a member of Conor Oberst and The Mystic Valley Band. While Taylor's impeccable musicianship and artistic voice as a songwriter can be found on tracks "Air Mattress" and "Snake Hill" on Conor Oberst and The Mystic Valley Band's sophomore album Outer South (Merge Records), he steps from side stage to center stage with Life With A Slow Ear.

With roots in traditional American music including folk, blues and country, Taylor Hollingsworth takes the listener on a twisting and turning journey in each of his eleven, foot stomping tracks. Like Bob Dylan and Ramblin' Jack Elliot, he is a storyteller through and through. From the back of a pick up truck in the Deep South to the concrete jungle of Sin City, each stripped down song transports us by Taylor's imaginative finger-picking and wholly unique voice with just the right amount of Southern drawl.
