Festival 8 Design Contest
Designers and graphic artists can design a t-shirt for the band's upcoming three-day Halloween festival in Southern California, "Festival 8." The winner of the design contest will receive two tickets to the event as well as five of the winning shirts and the pleasure of commemorating Phish's spectacular Halloween weekend.
Submissions must be sent digitally (JPEGs only, under 2 megabytes) to festival8contest@phish.com. All submissions must be received by Friday, September 11 at noon EST. Submissions should include the artist's full name and a way to reach the designer by phone. While it's not necessary, organizers of the competition suggest artists put the words "Phish" and "Festival 8" somewhere on the design. Any designs with pre-existing Phish or "Festival 8" logos will not be accepted. Both front and back designs are welcome, but not necessary - just a front will suffice as an entry. The use of Comic Sans or Curlz will automatically disqualify entrees. By entering the contest, artists acknowledge full and unconditional acceptance and agreement of the Contest Rules (click here for contest rules).
Festival 8, will take place on October 30, 31 and November 1 at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California. With lush green fields and palm trees, surrounded by vistas of California's majestic Santa Rosa mountains, the festival site is simply breathtaking. This will be the first time ever, Phish has combine two of its most cherished traditions - a multi-day camping festival and performing on Halloween - in a glorious three-day celebration.
