Elvis Perkins Announces the Release of The Doomsday EP On October 20

In March, NPR's Morning Edition aired a feature on Elvis Perkins In Dearland that focused heavily on the track "Doomsday" from the band's self-titled album (released earlier this year). On October 20, XL Recordings will release The Doomsday EP which features the album version of the track, a newly recorded slower version of the song and four additional tracks. The EP was recorded June 23-25 at Machines with Magnets in Pawtucket, RI.

The folk outfit has also announced a string of fall tour dates including stops at Seattle's Bumbershoot Festival and the Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Festival in San Francisco's Golden Gate Park.
