RUMINATIONS ON FAKE THINGS THAT HELP US GET BY
The B-52's |
During tough times one often turns to any available port in a storm. As belts continue to tighten and unemployment ranks grow, one can be forgiven for considering printing their own money. Oh, we're not encouraging counterfeiting but we grok how nice rolling around in pile of freshly "minted" Jacksons could be, and so do The B-52's, who kick off our mid-week song infusion down in the basement inhaling ink fumes with "Legal Tender."
And for our cheekier "hump" selections we continue the artificial reality theme with a pair of tunes about the special bond a man and a blow-up doll can share - "Be My Girl - Sally" by The Police and "In Every Dream Home A Heartache" from Roxy Music's fab second album, For Your Pleasure, a crucial puzzle piece in the jigsaw of modern rock. May all your loves never spring a leak and all your currency pass inspection!
