The Bear Creek Music and Art Festival and The Spirit of the Suwannee Music ParkFestival will host a benefit concert for beloved performer Zach Deputy at the Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park's Music Hall Sunday June 7. This benefit will be the day after the June 5-6 Wanee Festival at the same venue where the Allman Brothers will celebrate their 40th anniversary.

In March, Zach Deputy's tour truck with all of his musical gear and personal belongings was stolen from a parking lot in Paramus, NJ. The total value of the loss is roughly $80,000, and with the exception of the bus, all the gear was uninsured. The bus was later recovered.

Zach performs more than 250 shows per year throughout the Eastern United States and Canada and is on the road nearly 300 days a year. Because Zach virtually lives on his bus, all of his clothing and other personal items were also on the stolen bus and not recovered.

This is a horrible example that sometimes bad things do happen to really good people. Zach Deputy is exactly that, really good people. Bear Creek and the SOSMP hope fans and friends of Zach Deputy will take this opportunity to help him replace his stolen gear and equipment.

On June 7 at the SOSMP, Zach will play two long sets of music for guests to enjoy during this benefit. The first set runs from 4:30 p.m. - 6 p.m. so folks who need to get home for work on Monday may attend. The second set of music will begin at 8 p.m. and will run until nearly midnight. As for admission, Wanee Festival weekend pass holders are asked for a minimum $10 donation at the door. Those coming just for the evening's show will be asked for a minimum donation of $15. Camping that evening will be only $10. Please visit the park's office to make arrangement.

Zach Deputy made his debut at the magical Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park at the Bear Creek Music and Art Festival in 2007 and will return for the 3rd annual event at the SOSMP in Live Oak, Fl November 13-15.
