First Album: Danny Hutchens of Bloodkin
Well, the big first album in my life was when I was just a little kid, and it was Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band. My older sister got it for me for my birthday. I was probably like five-years-old or something. And I had two older sisters and they were both way into The Beatles so I was always hearing their Beatles records. And I got just really into The Beatles as a little kid, so she got that record for me for my birthday, and it still sticks out in my mind. I mean at that young of an age, I can just remember sitting around listening to that thing over and over, and just, you know, it had some kind of serious impact on me, I think. I mean not that our stuff sounds anything like what The Beatles did, but just, you know, their great pop melodies and I don't know, soaking in that kind of song craft that they had going. It is bound to have some kind of effect. And I still love 'em.
Bloodkin hit the road again on May 15, dates available here.
