KRAFTWERK, ELBOW, MASSIVE ATTACK, FLEET FOXES AT 2009 EDITION
Kraftwerk |
Bestival 2009 will take place at Robin Hill Country Park on the Isle of Wight from September 11-13. This year at Bestival the whole of Saturday on the bandstand will be a celebration of the Isle of Wight's own incredible musical talents, dubbed, not unreasonably, "Island Day."
Explaining the idea behind Island Day, festival organizer Rob da Bank said, "Each year I get inundated with CDs of amazing bands and DJs from the Island and I can never fit enough on so this year we're giving the whole of the Saturday day and night on the Bandstand over to Isle Of Wight talent. From Blank Beats to The Shoots we've got the cream of the local bands and watch out for an announcement on a DJ day too."
Below is the current lineup for this year's Bestival. More acts to be announced, and you can keep track of things at www.bestival.net for all the latest information.
