Phoenix Announces Select North American Summer Tour Dates

Paris, France's Phoenix will play select North American dates this summer in support of their eagerly-anticipated new album Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix, out May 26 on Loyaute/Glassnote Records. With an appearance earlier this month on Saturday Night Live and praise for first single "1901" (peep it below), excitement for Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix is reaching a fever pitch.
After touring the world behind It's Never Been Like That, Phoenix tucked themselves away in Paris and New York, searching for the most creative environment to start writing new songs. They eventually joined forces with Philippe Zdar of Cassius, who co-produced the new album, Phoenix re-worked their songs for a year-and-a-half, settling for nothing less than perfection, until Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix was fully formed. It is an album that exudes whimsical breeziness, engaging the listener with a seamless blend of synthetics and organics, danceable rhythms, infectious choruses and pop sensibilities that are already winning over music fans all around the globe.
The upcoming tour is guaranteed to make it clear exactly why Phoenix are one of France's most exciting musical exports. Amazing Baby, one of Brooklyn's most talked-about bands of the moment, supports on all dates.
