i think the non-headliners part is pretty deep - sts9, tv on the radio, andrew bird, ben harper, lou reed, but i don't really know about the headliners besides kings and tool

decent lineup. Went to Lolla a few years ago, it was fun. Chicago is just too expensive if you have to pay for travel and hotels. Would go if I lived in the city.

Would be great if I weren't already going to Wakarusa and Rothbury... Chicago is a fantastic city, but so expensive.

Hmmm....eh....okay i suppose. Nothing too fancy. There's some talent there for sure, but i would so much rather see most of these bands(or already have) at a smaller venue, more intimate.

It seems that every other year is over the top for Lolla. The first and third years were sick, especially Radiohead, Rage and Nine Inch Nails last year!

None the less, if you go, have a great time! It is a great weekend party!

cheers!

powerful line-up but what happened to the days when festivals actually booked jambands. if STS9 is all this festy has to offer as far as the scene goes then its pretty sad. ACL went down the same path and both festys are lame. i love sts9 but they're kinda festy whores

looks OK, but dont get siked for tool, they bring too many rules with them and their live shows suck nowadays. when i saw tool couple years ago the singer sat at a table on the back of the stage and played cards then sang every now and again, and their bonnaroo show sucked it didn't evan fill half of the lawn for the main stage(some will try to argue with me but i was there and sober so i remember). back in the nineties tool said we r here for you, now they r here to play cards, make fun of their fans, and collect a pay check while only giving half the performance they use to. Chicago has so much potential to have a better lineup with more dedicated acts than some of the bigger names listed here. there's still some tight acts worth checking out. just dont let tool be your only reason to go.

Zanos WOW. your a tool. i was sober 100 % at the roo and it was magical. Maynard is off in his own world when he performs, i cant believe you just wrote that. May be the dumbest shit i have read in a long time. TOOL is perfect, get siked as hell for this performance..... Zanos please it didnt fill half the lawn because hippies were affraid of them.

i gotta agree with zanos being a huge dumbass. tool at bonnaroo was FUCKING EPIC, i saw so many hippies getting their face melted off, and my face even started melting a little when tom morello came out for an epic guitar solo during laterulas (<-- sp?) the 10000 days tour wasn't the best tour for tool, but i've never been dissappointed at a show. and i bet they are the highlight of lolla this year

I'll be my own personal Jesus at Bonnaroo. But thanks Lalapolooza for letting washed up bands like Depech Mode cash in while the economy is down. Are they serisouly headlining this festival? I think the proverbial snowball just hit the Devil in the face. Does anyone else agree that there are too many festivals? Every single one of them has the same acts with varying headliners. Was it always this way? I don't remember it being this ridiculous in the early to mid 90's.

^ dj the over-abbundance of festivals is for the jobless wooks that just go from fest-to-fest selling stale veggie burritos and there souls all year round. and about depache mode they will def not be the only band playing during their "headlining" spot, at lolla both the south and north stage have headliners playing at the same time. like last year ratm played the same time as wilco and nin played the same time as kanye (suxs :))

wow, on several accounts: djacoustic... well, nevermind, not even worth it. and bigfro, nice pathetic attempt at an insult... you've got sts9 AND david murphy listed in your tracked artists. also, what's up with the lack of open mindedness? people complaining about a bunch of bands they've never heard of like there's actually something wrong with that, perhaps you should listen to more music... try it out, it's a lot of fun, and it's good for ya.

Wow. Good stuff. Since Im not one of the above mentioned "Wooks", Ive gotta choose my shows wisely due to work and bills and what not. Im already going to Bonnaroo but Id really like to hit at least one day of this fest. I live in IL so travel and lodging isnt a big deal. I just hope Tool, Lou Reed, Fleet Foxes, & Thievery Corp are all on the same day since none of them are at Bonnaroo.

It's funny on how nobody has mentioned that this is the same sort of line-up as Coachella a few years ago with Depeche Mode and Tool headlining. I think this line-up is decent, Tool and Lou Reed along with Depeche Mode and Janes all in Grant Park...I'm sure the Janes show will rock for Lolla. I'm disappointed to see the Beastie Boys back on another Headliner list or wait is the Killers Headlining ANOTHER festival...God WHY!!!? This doesn't beat last years with Radiohead, Rage and NIN, but at least their are some decent bands playing, I MEAN TOOL!!!

You are a total moron. Their new album is fantastic and their live shows are some of the best you'll ever see. This line-up looks killer aside from the Killers.
