U-Melt Takes Colorado By Storm
U-Melt |
With April 22 quickly approaching, the anticipation of U-Melt's
four-night run through Colorado is rapidly growing, as the New York
quartet brings their improvisational genius to the stage, offering up a
healthy dose of their progressive and studied sound. Those that attend
the Fort Collins, CO, show on April 22 at Hodi's Half Note will be
making plans for the next stop just south in Boulder, CO. The band will
set up shop the following two nights at Quixote's True Blue in Denver
before heading to Tulsa, OK, as part of their spring tour out west.
Since forming early in the decade In New York City, U-Melt has built its
name on their live performance, but their studio releases of The I's
Mind in 2006 and The Unbelievable Meltdown in 2006 are proof that the
band is more than just a touring jam band. All four of the band members
are students of music, making for a nearly perfect collage of different
inspirations and influences. Guitarist Rob Salzer, keyboardist Zac
Lasher, bassist Adam Bendyand drummer George Miller all have rich
histories in music, affording fans a prized experience.
And a heavy dose of the unexpected is what Coloradans can expect when
the band plays four powerful shows in late April.
