BROKEN SOCIAL SCENE, EXPLOSIONS IN THE SKY AND MORE
TO PERFORM ON OLYMPIC ISLAND - TORONTO SATURDAY, JULY 11, 2009

Broken Social Scene is proud to announce their return to the Toronto stage this summer. The band will headline an all-day event, which will also include Explosions In The Sky, under the beautiful setting of Toronto's Olympic Island on Saturday July 11, 2009.

Beginning today (April 13) until Thursday, April 16, fans will have the opportunity to purchase tickets for this event before they go on sale to the general public. Toronto radio station Edge 102.1 FM, are offering 1021 tickets at a discounted price through their website www.edge.ca. In addition the Arts & Crafts on-line store www.GalleryAC.com tickets are offered at regular price with a special bonus, pre-sale limited edition digital sampler that features one song from each performing artist.

All tickets for this event cost $57.50 and include return ferry travel from the Toronto Ferry Docks (Queens Quay/Bay St.) in downtown Toronto to Olympic Island, just steps from the venue fairgrounds. Tickets go on sale to the general public starting Friday, April 17 at 10 a.m.

Maybe, but they are BRILLIANT without Feist. Saw them this fall and it was unreal.

very sad to say feist no longer plays with broken social scene. Brilliant, really truly is the absolute definition of this collective. This show will be total redemption for missing their hometown toronto run at the sound academty last november when issac brock (modest mouse) played a few tunes with the band. Being that the collective spawned from different bands out of toronto it is without a doubt the place to see the band play with the majority of its dozen or so members. A couple years ago in support of kevin drews album BSS sold out lees palace in toronto and kevin drew treated everyone in attendance to a shot of tequila to "get things started right". i love this band a lot
