THE DEREK TRUCKS BAND SUPPORTS 'RECORD STORE DAY'
WITH THE RELEASE OF LIVE, LIMITED EDITION EP
ALREADY LIVE IN STORES APRIL 18

The Derek Trucks Band
In honor of "Record Store Day," The Derek Trucks Band will release Already Live (Sony/Victor Records) – a five song EP consisting of live recordings from the band's latest and critically acclaimed album Already Free, as well as fan favorites from their live performances such as "My Favorite Things" and "I Done Got Over."

Recorded at the Wilma Theatre in Missoula, MT and the Lobero Theatre in Santa Barbara, CA, the limited edition of Already Live is not only a unique collector's piece for fans, but also an excellent way to support independent retail music stores across America. Already Live will be available exclusively at Indie retail music stores.

Currently on tour throughout the summer, DTB's live performances have been met with equally effusive praise. The Patriot Ledger recently compared Trucks in concert to "a real life Guitar Hero" and of a recent House of Blues performance, The Houston Press said "Derek Trucks was able to coax more transcendence and purity out of one run on his slide guitar that a phalanx of pulpit pontificators could do with a month of Sundays."

Already Live will give fans a taste of what The Derek Trucks Band loves the most and does the best - performing live.

ALREADY LIVE TRACK LISTING:
1. I Know
2. Get What You Deserve
3. I Done Got Over
4. I’ll Find My Way
5. My Favorite Things

Yes Trucks is the best guitar player out right now, he has completely created his own sound with teh DTB which is how great musicians come to be. thats why he can stand on stage with clapton, B.B. King, Warren Haynes, Jimmy Herring, J.J Cale and anyother great for that matter. he rips it up. Western Maryland BluesFest end of May and Hot August Blues fest will be the shit!!!! Cockysville MD is a great place to see a fest, laid back and really chill i met jeff and adam from Yonder there a few years ago when they had grassroots fest up there. Check that place out.

While I know this is for the independent record stores and I totally dig and respect that I have to ask this: When the hell will the DTB put out a live *MULTI-TRACK* album rather than another 2 track soundboard release? Preferably full length rather than EP . . .

DTB just keeps getting better and better. Can't wait for Wanee. But like BATE said a multi-track full show would be better. Elkobird yeah Oregon Ridge is a great venue there. I met Les Claypool during Jimmy Cliff's set at Grassroots several years ago, very cool guy. Too band Tim Walther quit doing Grassroots, I guess he puts everything into All Good now. It's the kind of place where musicians like to wander around the vendors during other bands sets. One of the places I miss in Maryland, along with Merriweather and the 8x10.

Derek rules! I'd love to see Derek make a guest spot or two on this summer's Dead tour. DTB sound incredible on this new album - here are some crisp, vivid pix from the DTB show 2 weeks ago at the Wellmont Theater:
