hmm...pretty sure there were about 20 comments before mine... Guess the 'ooops' on putting Panic in the headline created a stir....

^^ at least you are first. I found it funny the day WSP tells their fans no Colorado shows Jambase posts otherwise, pretty funny.

It's not funny. Why would it be funny when people are denied something they love?

Management of Widespread Panic would like to put to rest the rumors circulating of Red Rocks or New Years performances in Colorado in 2009.

The band will NOT be playing Red Rocks or New Years in Colorado.

Widespread Panic’s only scheduled appearance in Colorado this year will be at the Mile High Music Festival July 18th-19th in Denver, CO. Get full festival info in our On Tour section and buy your tickets now!

I live in Minneapolis, and it is about a 14 hour drive from Breckenridge to Minneapolis.. so I am guessing about 17 hours from Aspen to Detroit Lakes, MN where 10,000 Lakes Festival is held, where WSP is doing 2-nights (as part of a 4-day music and camping fest) and tickets are only $170... just a FYI for the WSP fans out there...

i really dont understand who is booking these "jazz" fests....this lineup is trash and a hand in the face to jazz lovers...free jazz to free your mind

management of widespread panic would like people to stop spreading rumors about the band... don't tell me panic isn't doing new years in denver... why would you say something like that? you know they'll be adding some dates, so i'm going to continue to hope for another new years rager. also, msudtg, brooklynn and i will be seein ya at 10kl :) also, go check out jamie cullum at snowmass, he's a really cool cat.

shakedownfunk: Jazz Aspen Snowmass is the name of the organization that puts on the two festivals and many other shows/events in Aspen. The June festival is more traditionally jazz oriented, while the labor day fest always leans heavily towards the jam scene. Allman Bros. tore it up when they were here 2 years ago for labor day. 2 nights in Chicago with Panic, and then they play on my kickball field 3 days later! It's going to be a great September!

nothing says Jazz like The Black Eyed Peas! Cut 'em a break they're up there in Aspen so far removed from any cultural relevance if they want to have a "jazz festival" that's cool.

visit the website and stop talking out your asses, it is not a jazz festival. jazz aspen snowmass are shows to support local music education much of which is Jazz. and check the callendar for the belly up and opera house, they get better acts than a majority of the clubs out there. sorry no country. no matter what the line-up is it will be exponentially better and cheaper than the mile high festival. the line up is hit and miss, this year is definetly much weaker than the last few. sign me up for a snowmass show anytime, as a matter of fact ive got my moe. tix already.

Pretty cool venue-on the pricey side. There is no lot scene you have to be shuttled by bus. If Panic is the TBD> get ready for ten thousand Boulder clowns!
