Codename: Mockingbird Benefit

Codename, with Special Guests Telepath and Jimkata:
A Show to Benefit The Mockingbird Foundation

Philadelphia's jam-rockers Codename are back in the area on Saturday, April 11 for another concert blowout with proceeds benefiting The Mockingbird Foundation, a non-profit organization devoted to music education for children. Everyone should get ready as Codename, Telepath, and Jimkata take the stage at College Park's very own Santa Fe Café. The show begins at 9 p.m. with $10 tickets. Enjoy your night at the premiere music club witnessing some of the scene's great acts as the community comes together. In today's burdensome economy, it is crucial that we do not forget about charitable organizations and the message of community support.

"We do benefit shows every year, but for us to do it at our guitar player's stomping grounds is a treat," says Codename's keyboard player Adam Nash referring to guitarist Jon Joffe, who is a senior at the University of Maryland. "We recognize that people are in need, and if playing a show like this can help relieve some troubles left by trying times, we’re game... The fact that it's with an incredible lineup of bands is a bonus."

Righteous cause, righteous bands. Codename lays it down everytime, can't wait to see them at the Some KIND of Jam IV in Kempton PA 4/24-26. They melted our minds last time there. Any heads looking for a little (& inexpensive) festy with great regional bands and cool scene, check it out, 4/24-26.
