Jack White's Dead Weather: Announce First Public Show

i'm just going to bite my tongue on this one.

Sounds like decent rock n roll to me. I like the other single that's out ("Are Friends Electric?") a little better.

anyway, i've never seen the white stripes live, did catch a bit of the raconteurs last year at lolla but otherwise i've never seen jack white live. my review after checking out that youtube clip...it's cool but i'm unsure about the vocals but otherwise this sounds pretty stoooooned. jack white seems to have a knack for making cool music based on the simplest of riffs. i remember learning some old white stripes songs when i started playing guitar. good stuff. hopefully they bring the jam when they do it live?

not too shabby... i agree with briank67, Jack White's always taken simple riffs and simply made them sounds fantastic and fun. I kinda dig this single, not exactly my style but im enjoying my first listen now. Don't have too much to offer, but Jack White's been successful since he was with Meg and it doesn't seem like this band will have any problem finding a following either.

Jack and his bands always have the most amazing energy at their shows. The White Stripes were dope when i saw them, and The Raconteurs were sick at the Roo last summer. Did you know Jack plays the drums in this band...interesting! I can dig it

Lets not compare apples to oranges. Jack is Jack, Trey is Trey, Jerry is Jerry... Its about energy and heart and for Jack, rocking out. Try it some time it feels good. Why H8 on that? PS: Bands with makeup - Bob Dylan 77, David Bowie, Kiss, The Cure, RHCP, Jane's/Porno, Smashing P's...

I love how White's style flows with him from instrument to instrument. I can hear that same quirky tempo he brings to his guitar riffs when he's behind the kit.

Alison Mosshart is greatness. I think they make a fine combination. You can tell she has a west coast feel from her band The Kills so it makes for a new sound from Jack White to explore with

Anybody who says The Raconteurs are better than the White Stripes is welcome to their opinion, but they are quite silly and most likely lack essential vitamins and minerals.
