The incomparable JJ Cale is in the midst of his first set of shows in four years (dates available here). At seventy-years-old, Cale is touring in support of his fantastic sixteenth album, Roll On (check it out at the end of the photos). These intimate shows in small theaters along the west coast offer the rare chance to see a true American Classic do his thing. Performing everything from fan favorites like "Cocaine," "After Midnight," Magnolia," Ride Me High" and Call Me The Breeze" to new cuts and obscure gems, these shows have received nothing but rave reviews.

The show in Eugene Sunday was everything I hoped it would be and more! Opened up with Travelin' Light and that song right there was worth the $30...

Great pics Josh! Saw him the night before at a packed Bimbo's in SF. What a killer show. JJ is a rock n' roll legend. His band was super tight too. I liked how the sound and presentation was a bit understated, no need for flash and blasting sound when you write incredible tunes like JJ. I was bit bit surprised that no one sat in with him(after having Petty and Campbell in LA). Great show, go see JJ Cale!

I was there. The show was everything Josh said and more. It was so rad to sit in this theatre and get hit with the Ride Me High opener. So awesome. Great shots Josh. I got some good ones too.
