Electric Daisy Carnival: Oakenfold, Fatboy, van Dyk

ELECTRIC DAISY CARNIVAL EXPANDS TO TWO DAYS FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER
FRIDAY, JUNE 26 & SATURDAY, JUNE 27 AT MEMORIAL COLISEUM & EXPOSITION PARK IN LOS ANGELES
WITH FATBOY SLIM, PAUL VAN DYK, PAUL OAKENFOLD, DAVID GUETTA, BENNY BENASSI & ATB

Paul Oakenfold
Southern California's premier electronic music experience for over a decade, ELECTRIC DAISY CARNIVAL has announced it will expand to two days for the first time ever, following last year's sold-out event with 65,000 attendees. With over 100,000 people expected, North America's largest electronic music gathering will return for its second run at the LA Memorial Coliseum & Exposition Park in downtown Los Angeles Friday, June 26 with Paul Oakenfold, ATB, Eddie Halliwell and Boyz Noise, and Saturday, June 27 with Fatboy Slim, Paul van Dyk, David Guetta, Benny Benassi and Roger Sanchez.

EDC will feature two full days and nights of beats, freaks, fun and festivities as Insomniac Events transforms the LA Memorial Coliseum and Exposition Park into a carnival for the eyes and ears. Join in as the world's leading names in dance music descend upon Los Angeles for an entire weekend enhanced by extraordinary light and sound production.

EDC has hundreds of additional artists still to announce that will be placed throughout five stages, along with a mind-blowing array of attractions, more full-size carnival rides than ever before and an intensely surreal assortment of art installations and performers. With six themed areas of music, art and festivities, this will be a truly special ELECTRIC DAISY CARNIVAL.

Tickets go on sale Tuesday, April 21 and will be available online via www.insomniac.com and www.electricdaisycarnival.com as well as at select independent retail outlets. Two-day packages as well as individual tickets for each day will be available. Sell-out crowds are anticipated so early purchase is suggested. VIP packages will be announced at a later date.

100,000 people, wow... I can barley handle LA normally. Sounds like fun in the sun but I will stick to my small festi's. did anyone hear Big Wu Family Reunion 10 tickets are only $30 with a very good 3-day lineup.

I have been looking forward to seeing some Fatboy Slim. This might mean he is on board for Bonnaroo. It also might mean I'm buying a ticket to the festival in L.A anyway.

Man I wish I could muster up the dough to make it to this. From what I hear, it crushes Ultra. Still a damn shame that Oakenfold is considered top bill over Van Dyk and Fat Boy Slim.... I will never understand this. Hearing his interview on sirius at WMC only expanded my distaste for Oakey. Benassi, Van Dyk, Slim, ATB, and Sanchez all KILL dance floors. I would love to go to this.

Give me DJ HYPE! Explosions in the Sky are playing LA that same weekend. Two nights of EDC might be a little much.
