After a sold-out show at the Mercury Lounge in September which raised $1000 for the Twin Towers Fund and where Melvin Sparks and Topaz sat in to join the fun, Stratocaster Madman David Kolker and his band of groove, becoming known collectively as KOLKER, are returning to the Mercury Lounge stage in NYC for another mind-blowing night of music.
This time, the show will open up with the funk energy of The Bloom Daddies featuring John Scofield bassist Jesse Murphy and Scofield horn contributor, Chris Cheek. Then, the wildy explorative Next Tribe will surely loosen your hips. KOLKER will then drop the sound that has created a buzz in NYC and is starting to leak outside...the Stratocaster missiles of David Kolker, the boogaloo
groove of drummer Tony Mason, the soul vibrations of bassist Tim Luntzel, the soaring sax of Isamu Sato, and the milky waves of lapsteel player Paul LeFebvre...all melted together to create KOLKER.
