For the first time ever in North America, Serge Gainsbourg's classic and influential album Histoire de Melody Nelson will be reissued on Tuesday, March 24th. This release will be packaged in a beautiful digipak true to the original artwork, featuring two essays (by Andy Votel and Andy Beta), a rare Serge Gainsbourg interview and illustrations by Drew Christie.

For Seattle residents, on Monday, March 23rd - in celebration of our reissue's release date the following day - Light In The Attic will be having a Histoire de Melody Nelson listening party at the Gainsbourg Lounge from 9pm till close. It's gonna be a free event with giveaways throughout the evening and '60s classics by Serge and other French pop superheroes spun by both Hunter Lea (of Mono in VCF fame) and Steve Quenel (local visual artist/frequent collaborator with Ben Chasny of Six Organs of Admittance).
