Awesome! Cannot frickin wait to see this at High Sierra
mmmmmmmmm wish i was there......andrew barr is a god
Marco rules, saw him with Mathis and Barr and was blown away during the Invisible Baby cd release tour. By the way, we are long overdue for a Slip tour.
Nice review - I was at this show also and found the Bell House most inviting.
Here are a few choice moments from the evening as highlighted so well by Alex.
Heart Beats w/ Russo who busts out some of his best disco stu dance moves.

The Real morning Party - that included a lighning fast drum solo from Barr(ao1 - this should help enforce your god statement) and finished with about one of the choicest saloon style jams with a show down between Barr and Benevento

Finally the magic on RISD with Brad Barr just sending the song around into a watery underworld exploration of guitar while Andrew and Joe traded spots on the kit and percussion.

all fantastic musicians. My only "critique" of these types of musicians (the Slip, Marco, Joe, Krasno, all the jam-funk bands, etc.) is that they could rehearse a little more and play a few more "arranged" pieces. When they just improvise for the whole night, it starts to lose its luster about 40-50 minutes in. Just one persons opinion. They're still sick musicians no matter what.
