Call me a silly optimist, but it sure as shootin' don't take no two days to get from D.C. to Ohio. Could Eric and Steve be contemplating an intimate Sunday afternoon set for maybe 100,000 or so on a Tennessee farm?

OK, when were these shows played? Maybe I just did not see it. Love the 1970's Blues stuff the best, the music had so much heart, you could feel the pain.

overall, that'b nice, but it doesn't take two days to get from NJ to PA either...I would say its a possibility but a very small one.

Overall is wiser than most of us. I've seen him rewrite thesauruses just for kicks. Seriously, Overall might have just given us an important Bonnaroo clue.

they'd be expensive to book but, i wouldn't be surprised to see them headlining a night of Rothbury. I'd really love to see that go down.

Roo? Maybe, but that means leave DC super late Saturday, bounce over to TN for a Sunday afternoon show (b/c we know Phish is closing it out), then hurry to OH for Monday. Is it physically possible? Yea. Is it likely? I don't think so, but I'll keep wishing.

I think in a lot of ways these older acts (especially The Dead) have high ticket prices because that is exactly what their fans want. I was talking to some older DeadHead friends the other night and they were telling me about their plans to fly to a few different shows and how there meeting up with old friends from all over he country. If Dead tix were cheap then young kids and younger fans in general would but them up in minutes and the older fans who should have some clout would end up paying high prices through a broker anyway. Then the only difference would be they'd be seeing the shows with a younger crowd as opposed to a crowd of mostly older fans. So as soon as someone (a young girl) mentioned how she wasn't going because of the prices, the conversation went silent for a moment. I could tell they were all thinking the same thing.....exactly. A lot of us younger fans who may have grown up listening to Clapton and The Dead don't realize how many people around grew up actually seeing Clapton and The Dead. I,m talking people in their late (50's and 60's) We have Phish and Widespread Panic.

Are these shows from the acutal Traffic/Blind Faith days, or is this DVD from recent shows? That would make a big difference in wether I would buy it or not? Live at Madison Garden ......what year?

And yes, ticket prices way to high for the normal dude, especially for the arena venues they are playing.

I think that they should charge a lot more money for the show. Forget that we are in a ressecion the likes we have not seen since the great Depression, it looks like Eric and Steve have a nice gig for themselves; but seriously, look how well the Dead shows are selling; we all know they are not selling well. I think it is really nice for these guys to tour again, and great for us to get the chance to see them. I just wish I could afford it, along with lots of other people. I hope those of you that can afford it, really enjoy it. I will here it for free (since music is just good to listen too when the old guys on stage are not much to look at anymore) off a disk release (they will milk this with a DVD as well) and anyone who gives me a free down load. Thank Steve and Eric for pricing the show so hi.

Coconutphil and Traverj this is from late February 2008.

I think Overall and Rainydayman probably work together.

Next year after the novelty of the "Blind Faith" tour wears off Clapton and his management will milk the "Delaney and Bonnie & Friends on tour with Eric Clapton" by either taking Bonnie on tour or making Susan Tedeschi the "new Bonnie" and Derek Trucks the "new Delaney" brilliant marketing scheme . . . ;)
