ELECTRO POP SURVIVORS TOUR THE UNIVERSE

Do you like my clingy
space age shirt?
Depeche Mode will begin the North American leg of their "Tour of the Universe" on July 24th in Toronto. With more than 2 million tickets already sold for their European stadium tour, Depeche Mode announced last week that Swedish trio Peter Bjorn and John will open on all of the North American dates.

Good enough for Johnny Cash to cover, the band remains a global touring powerhouse. Depeche Mode is playing 33 stadium shows in Europe before reaching North America. The group played to over 2.8 million people across 31 countries on their last tour alone, and have sold out both the Rose Bowl and two nights at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles in the US on past tours. The band are set to release their long-anticipated new studio album, Sounds Of The Universe on April 21, 2009 (Mute/Capitol/Virgin).

North American and international tour dates can be found HERE.

"I don't wanna sound like a queer or nothing, but I think Depeche Mode is a sweet band." I can't hear anything about Depeche Mode without thinking of Matt & Trey.

I actually heard on friday that these guys are in fact 1 of the Lolla headliners (i know, someone else claimed it last week), as well as Janes Addiction, Bestie Boys, and 3 other acts were Kings of Leon, Rise Against and Rancid (I would guess peter, bjorn and john as well, plus they played lolla 2 years ago). Could be true, could be wrong, but it was a pretty relieable source, and thier schedule is wide open that weekend.

Anyhow, I'm not too big into Depeche Mode, but I'v only heard good things about thier live shows. Hopefully we'll get a solid Lolla lineup and I can check these guys out.

oh shit...im an idiot...lol...thought they had there hands on each others legs...for the record, I'm TOTALLY cool with gay people and equal right for EVERYBODY, just find it funny when all guy bands that are not necessarily trying to gay look that way.
