Great review, but i gotta say, i like Jackie Greene and all but Sugaree is now my least favorite Dead song. talk about overplayed!

I agree that Jackie is beating "Sugaree" down pretty hard, but the song is strong enough to take it! :) What gets to me is that he has mastered more than a few Dead tunes, so I wish he'd mix it up a little more. How about mixing a "Loser," or a "Deal," or a "Bertha" into the live show now and then?

do the Skinny Singers have a CD out? Also, along those lines, I have a decent amount of Mother Hips live, whats good for their studio stuff?

Old #7-- Tim and Jackie have an album called Skinny Singers Strike Again.....Personally I enjoy all Mother Hips albums, but my favorites are Back to the Grotto and Part Timer Goes Full (maybe out of print??) Fun weekend!!!! Please keep this an annual event!!!

Skinny Singers have a CD which is awesome! Baby Got a Mustache! I heard about Nicki Bluhm's CD from Jambase and it is also one of my favorites of the year and Jackie and Tim are on it! Big Light is also way cool! This sounds like an incredible show.

I know stone. Fuck that... Big Sur for Sure was such a rager. It will go down as one of the best Big Sur parties of all time. By the way, that top picture is mislabeled. That is Pfeiffer Beach. Pretty cool place. Sometimes the sand looks purple. Don't worry Stone, Bif Sur For Sure will happen again this summer. I'm working on it.

What does "Gramble" mean anyway? I don't think it's even a word.

Such a great night, an incredible show. Nicki Bluhm's cd doesn't do her voice justice. Listening to her and her band live is a whole different story. Can't wait to check out more of their shows this year :)
