KRAAK & SMAAK RETURN TO THE U.S. THIS MARCH
FOR LIMITED RUN OF DATES IN SUPPORT OF PLASTIC PEOPLE

Kraak & Smaak
Kraak & Smaak return to the United States this March for a select run of performances as Holland's breakthrough act continue to support their critically acclaimed sophomore album Plastic People, out now on Ultra Records. Kicking off March 17 in Austin, TX, the two-week trek will feature both live band sets as well as DJ sets throughout Florida (Orlando, Tallahassee, and Tampa) and the Southeast, including Charleston, SC, Atlanta, GA, and Nashville, TN. The live band will also be appearing at SXSW, How Sweet It Is Festival in San Bernardino, CA and Ultra Music Festival in Miami, FL.

Released in North America on September 9, 2008 Plastic People features the hit single "Squeeze Me," which has been gaining great exposure via a Rhapsody national TV ad campaign and the band's recent performance on ABC-TV’s "Jimmy Kimmel Live." View their performance here:

Kraak & Smaak has quickly become one of the hottest live properties in electronic music. Original founding members Oscar De Jong, Mark Kneppers and Wim Plug are joined by the additional live band members of Andre Kemp (drummer), Rose Spearman (vocalist), Sebastian van Der Berg (MC) and Marc Baronner (bass). With keyboards, FX and percussion played by the band themselves, they bring their distinct brand of funk to the dance floor.

"Kraak & Smaak…always deliver the goods when it comes to pelvis-pushing funk beats..." -Geoffrey Himes, WASHINGTON POST

"Kraak & Smaak take things to a higher level with a full-blown live show. With a drum kit, Fender Rhodes/Moog player, guitar, bass and soul diva Rose augmenting a base of R&B and soul samples, they give their cop-show-theme jams and symphonic funk a human kick." --John Dugan, TIME OUT CHICAGO

Check these guys out at the Joshua Tree Music Festival!! Sure to be a hot show in the cool hi-desert of Jtree. Perfect place to experience an act like this! Could be the last stateside appearance for a while. There also will be a multitude of other tasty international acts at JTMF for our pleasure.

Correction: K&S is full band throttle action in JOSHUA TREE, not a dj set. take note & boogie to the bottom.
