Saturday night, November 3rd in Salt Lake City, Utah, the Global Funk Council played a special late night show at the Lazy Moon Saloon.
The 2nd
set ran until 6am (thanks to a private party renting the club out for the
event). A big surprise happened when Giant People drummer John Staten and
bassist Ignacio Aranjo rejoined ex-Giant People Keyboardist Anthony Smith
for "Feel the Sun" and "That Ain't It."
Following the 9.15 show at the Elbo Room
in San Francisco, Smith departed from Carlos Washington and the Giant People Ensemble
for personal reasons and it was the first time the three members had shared
the stage since then.
Global Funk Council plays Friday 11.9 at Club Creation
in Park City Utah.
