The lineup is great but if i make the trek from NY it will mostly to see Pgroove in a festival setting. Love those guys and they never seem to make it to any festi's up north (i.e summercamp, moe.down, rothbury, mountain jam) The Ozark Mts are a beauitful place too makes it quite tempting!

Hoots & Hellmouth are fucking great! Saw them about 2 months ago at a little bar in SC, and they blew me away! Lots of stompin' (as I guess the name implies).

i wanna go sooo bad!!! i was pissed that i couldn't go before this announcement, now i'm livid that i can't go! i mean come on! black crowes and gov't mule in addition to that already sick nasty line up. forget roo! this is waka's year to shine!

Warren Haynes might not have the chops of Neil Diamond, Royce, but I think he can still rip a chord or two. And don't hate on the Mule. Nobody wins when you hate on the mule. This lineup is stacked. I would totally rock Waka myself, but I've got those damn LSATs that Monday...weak sauce. Have fun, fellers.

Go to whatever festivals you want to, don't go to the ones you don't, but make sure you check out Hoots and Hellmouth in some capacity. Great band that will always show you a good time.

I am so amused by the festival bashing on here. Is it really a competition? I'll be going to Bonnaroo for the 5th time this year because the lineup suits my tastes, which was not the case for Roo last year. I'm sure Wakarusa will be a complete blast and everyone will have a great time, just like we will at Bonnaroo, just like folks will at Lolla and all the other fests. I'm really glad that everyone on earth has different music tastes or else we wouldn't have such an amazingly wide range of artists and fests to choose from. Long live the freedom to listen to whatever music you like, and attend whatever fests you like. I think high sierra is ready for an on year. it seems they've got the goods every other year. No matter what its always got a great vibe.

Dparris1- Just for the record, we'll be seeing 3 sets of Phish at Bonnaroo, one of which will be a late night, so in my book that's equivalent to 4 regular sets b/c there is something magical about a late night set. And for the other record, although I only paid $240, even if I had paid $300, still probably less than a lot of people are paying to see Phish 2 nights at other venues (based on the way scalpers are charging). And the rest of the line up may suck to you, but I'm stooookkkked.

2 sets of EAT STATIC are now my no.1 most anticipated acts at wakarusa and possibly even the summer now...One set downtempo and one rager set from Eat Static, this years waka is going to be epic now...

fuck yeah sphongle is going to be sick...the electronic acts at waka ARE the best out of the festivals, all they need is bassnectar...and lotus to rap up an already stellar lineup. and for those comming to the Ozarks for this, it will be great what an awesome place for a festival, very scenic. and for the roo discrimination- its B-Roo guys, its awesome, check out the enviroment next time and the universe will guide you to the music you desire...its how it works, bonnaroo takes care of everyone. i got tickets to both and will double the amount of shows ive seen almost in the 10 days of waka then B-Roo...plus why is there so much negativity with you guys...no one wants to read that shit. Never been to Arkansas before. Hopefully the humidity doesn't spoil the mayonnaise too quickly. I plan on having a little fun during Sphongle.

hawcarl it's how i talk lol. been to bonnaroo, and it's a hot, sweaty clusterfuck. some of the crowd sucks. stuck up and whatnot "blah, bonnaroo, blah blah" bonnaroo has had some stellar lineups, but this year it's gonna be a whole mess of 70000 phish fans in 100 degree heat; the smell of dirty pits and boiling patchouli is already making me gag. it's good to see these "type twos" drop a lineup that makes bonnaroo jealous. Rothbury stole the show last year, prob will again this year, especially if they get mmjacket (roo! GIVE EM A HEADLINER SLOT ALREADY)...major mistake booking two nights of phish, one night wouldve done the trick...and they'll pay for it when waka gets rave reviews the week before, and roo doesn't quite live up to expectations. they let me down with the lineup, so imma bash em.

plus i'm a three hour drive from the mahfucka, so everyone i know goes...it'll be good to get away with a small crowd rather than my entire hometown. much love to all ya'll though, i hope it rocks face

Ive never seen so much electrionic goodness next to so much rockin goodness. Finally I don't have to leave 1/2 of my music lovin brain at home. Left side is thinking Buckethead and Les at the same festi smells like C2B3 type jammin. Right side is thinkin OTT and Shpongle at the same festi could end in some Hallucinogen in DUB. Hell we've got Jimmy and Warren, I think Phil should show up and blow my mind one last time.

You people need to stop bashing on Bonnaroo, for Christ sake, it's a sick fuckin line-up...I don't know how long everyone has been bitchin about waiting for Phish or some major Jamband besides Panic to play at the Fest and now that it's happening, people don't know how to do anything but bitch about it. Bonnaroo is going to be sick, sure it will be flooded with Phish Phreaks, but who cares. The rest of the lineup looks amazing and like YEMolly stated, we might've spent 250bones, but we're seeing not just Phish, but a shitload of other great amazing acts (minus the Boss) while others are spending a couple hundred on just a couple shows. So whos the winner...as for this lineup, it looks good, but sorry folks, it's not going to be better than Bonnaroo...gimme a break

technopagan: i was at tulsa, houston, and dallas and agree that the biscuits rocked it (especially tulsa). i left after the biscuits set at houston and dallas, didnt even bother with gov't mule, i figured it would ruin my good night. however, in houston haynes came out to play "have a cigar" with the biscuits which was pretty cool.

I don't understand the bitch about Bonnaroo. Hit Wakarusa, jump back on tour with Phish, then hit Bonnaroo a week later a few states over. Sounds like heaven to me.

chillin and illin kind of lineup, I like it alot... I dunno how I feel about travelin through the south right now tho, I agree with dparris there. keeping my fingers crossed with the rothbury and GOTV lineups... Allgoods an option too if they can nail down a decent initial lineup with some nice additions.

why is everyone so scared of driving in the south? outta state plates don't mean much to cops down here unless you have a bunch of obvious stickers all over your car. i was born and raised here in arkansas and never had any problems. in fact, the only places i've run into problems with the po po was waukegan illinois and somewhere in missouri off of 55. you guys have nothing to worry about. just don't act sketchy! :)

oh and by the way, the little two lane highway that mulberry mountain is off of... i have never seen cops over there and i camp alot in that area. you guys will be fine.

i might be down on the rideshare from chitown, im still recovering from pretty lights on valentines day, need to start preparing my body for all these festivals coming up... and this line-up is top notch.

Can't wait for waka-tyme. I am a little bummed because I talked to Jesse from lotus during set break in Blacksburg and he said Lotus won't be joining us on the mountain. Oh well, still is going to be awesome.

I was planning on hitting Roo but now I'm not so sure... Shpongle, Eat Static, Ott, STS9, Pgroove and a crapload of other bands I'm interested in seeing for less than half the price of Bonnaroo?!? I really may find myself in Arkansas instead in June.

Hopefully Rothbury will release their line-up soon so I can start making definite plans!!!

i'm not a big fan of the black crowes, but i'm interested in seeing them with luther dickenson (from north mississippi all-stars)

hopefully not way too many people. harvest fest is held on the same grounds and it is a pretty small fest. i don't think the land can hold as many people as the old waka land could. let's hope they keep it small this year. big festies just aren't my thing. unless of course the lineup is as sick as rothbury's was last year...
