The Roots are making New York City's Highline Ballroom their home for a while, as they settle into a residency that will last through June. It will be called "The Jam" (rumor has it special guests will abound) and tickets will only cost $10!

^ hope looks pretty dim after the new two-headed livenation / ticketmaster beast was just unleashed.. oh well, love these guys and this sounds like it'll shape up quite nicely

The FBI is taking a good long look at the TM/LN merger. Both may find out that they are better off staying seperate companys, although I don't know if that means tickets will be any cheaper. Anyhow, $10 tickets is a great idea, and I agree that hopefully The Roots start a trend among other artists with this.

I copped 17 tickets for two of these nights already, what better way is there to spend $10 in NYC? It'll be amazing to see them at the Highline, I remember when they sold out two nights at Radio City Music Hall.

Props to the Roots.One of my all time favorite hip hop groups. Especially their old shit. A very unique way of putting on shows. Atmosphere has done similar stints here in Minneapolis.
