well that was a classy way of announcing canceled shows... leaving their fans in the dark. Atleast when Volta cancels shows they say they are sick or hung-over. I wonder if Yonder will be around much longer?

I hope all turns out alright for Adam and Jeff gets well soon. I had plans to go see YMSB for 3 shows within those dates they canceled, now I'm stuck going to see Blues Traveler the 14th, oh well, they'll come back around in the near future hopefully.

I would like to see them and Phish play Rothbury, with Yonder playing right before Phish. That would be a wonderful nigth for this guy

Conjugal you have nothing to apologize for. Cancelling shows a day in advance and not giving any reason is no way to treat your fans.

a better way to treat your fans would be to play with one guy down and another guy with throat problems, i would much rather hear a guitarless and scratchy throated yonder than getting my money back and having the show rescheduled

i'm sure this mainly has to do with adam's family issues. we saw them in atlanta the other night, and jeff mentioned there were problems but everything was looking up. hope things workout for whatever problem adam and his family are experiencing. danny barnes filled in the other night and was pretty good. his opening act was very strange though. i also have to say that yonder really needs to get a better banjo player. i enjoy johnston occasionally and have made excuses in the past such as "its just his style which fits the band". The atlanta show the other night was just god awful though. I have a hard time believing he's a professional musician he is so bad sometimes. There was a banjo duel between him and barnes and he was completely lost and out of rhythm. I know he has occassional moments where he sounds pretty good, but there a lot of people that feel the same way about it. This band would be a lot better with a different banjo player.

JamBase, you dropped the ball on this story. You don't tell us which shows they canceled -- just the dates, not the towns and venues that are affected. Sure, the tourdates are listed on Jambase, but you've removed the canceled shows, making it difficult to determine what's missing.

i drove 518 miles to find out the show in nashville was cancelled. very sad day

I'd guess the cancellation was due to Adam's inability to return and the fact that no one can replace Adam's vast repertoire in such short notice, even Danny Barnes, whose banjo work at The Tabernacle recently was incredible, but he had some trouble with the YMSB songs. Anyone up close could feel the tension emanating from Jeff. There were some major time signature slipups. Wish Adam and his family, and Yonder well and hope to see them again!

this was a huge letdown for me and some friends in nashville. so went to see ky's bawn in the mash. good stuff.. well.....my condolences to the band and their families n shit. the shows are postponed from what i hear..so..it's not like they;ll never come back....love peace hairgrease

Yonder treats their fans like shit. The only reason I'm going to the Knoxville show is because someone bought my ticket for me. I'll never give them my money again.

They played in Knoxville a couple years ago, and when one person jumped on stage (he didn't touch anyone, was not threatening, and was immediately taken off), they left the stage for 20-25 minutes.. leaving the crowd drunk and angry, booing them, etc. The manager then announced that they "felt vulnerable." What a bunch of girls.

The rest of the tour is postponed now. I sincerely hope that this will resolve soon.

I wonder why Jambase hasn't put the tour postpone-ment on the newswire, or deleted the shows from the Yonder artist page... kinda misleading.

I want to know when they will start back up. The Yonder page says that they are postponing the February Cabin Fever tour. Well, the last date of the official "Cabin Fever Tour" is not in February, it's march 1st in Tulsa, OK. Is THAT show cancelled too? I need answers!!!

LITTLE WOMANSKI - Asheville shows have been cancelled. We had planned on attending Friday too...Umphrey's is playing Saturday if it's not sold out.

Bummer on yonder - guess life happen's sometimes. Not the first time...won't be the last. They'll get their shit back together and bring the love back with them.
