I saw them on drugs once... i was still bored. so my wife and I left to go watch The Crystal Method (once of the best decision we ever made). They tore it up!

I just saw bisco for the first time in 4 years... I wasn't on drugs, I was drinking a tad... but I enjoyed the music Bisco made much more than I enjoyed all the times I've seen STS9...

I heard STS9's guitarist actally used to play his instrument... is that true?

it doesn't get any dirtier than a three night run at the ga theatre to close out spring. love it when bands stay true to their roots. there is no crunker town to be in this march than athens, ga!!!!

I purchased tickets for the St. Louis show over a month ago and they still haven't arrived yet. I'm starting to get nervous. Anyone else out there have a similar experience?

while PA sets were quite the treat, it'll sure be nice to see tribe return to full instrumentation. would love to see some northeast dates but this tour only goes up until March. plenty of time. and Oh_mander, if you bought your tix off tribe's site, i wouldn't worry about it. they can take a while to be sent out. i bought Red Rocks tickets last year like 5 months in advance and they didn't come until maybe 2 weeks before the show or so. you should be good.

Used to be a band called SoundTribeSector9 would give a good spank, now they just WANK... so the tweeks can twitter and flutter abound without a clue as to how they should come down.

I'll let you guys know because im gonna go to both thrashville shows. the first not on drugs. the second,...on a lot of drugs. i'll keep all of you who are truly in it for just the purity of the music know how it was.......isnt it all about good times and good tunes??

Def way old news. (just to add in with everyone else, why not). I got all 3 nights at GA theatre, and as a matter of fact, all 3 nights sold out like 2 weeks ago, thats how old the news is.

Also, just to say. STS9 shows for me are ALL about the music, I do feel bad if it's not like that for anyone else, you def shouldn't be at sold out shows as you got someone's ticket that wouldve rather been there. They're so fucking sick to me. I Love them Love them Love them.

All you kids are the problem. Go ask an old school Grateful Dead fan about the scene in the 80's. We all partied. Then came the mid-90's and the youth movement came on board. All of a sudden it became about "how fucked up can I get today and how many people do I need to rip off with bunk drugs to get my ticket" The same kids that are bitching on this topic are the same ones that ruined the jam band scene as a whole.

Here is a tip. Do your own thing and keep it to yourself. Stop drawing attention to the drug thing, it only makes things worse for us that know how to party and keep it on the down low.

i used to love this band before the keyboard player shut down the guitar player because he isn't as talented.

the scene is at times a little bunk. sts9's repertoire of great music is unbelievable, its the best around imo. but they dont always pick the great stuff..they're mixing in a few too many "button pushers"

STS9 is boring. I've seen them enough to know. It's nothing more than tape loops, samples with a small amount of live musicianship and a great light show for everyone who's sooo high they can't tell the difference between a great band and STS9. All their tunes end up being mmmpfh, mmmpfh, mmmpfh, mmmpfh, mmmpfh, mmmpfh, mmmpfh, mmmpfh, mmmpfh, mmmpfh, mmmpfh. Freekin boring. The scene is lame too. I'd rather go see Cubensis and day of the week over these guys.

ok if you don't like tribe...don't post! wow how easy is that? and you don't NEED drugs to get down to sts9. if your not musically inclined enough to at least respect that they are talented......thats totally cool because tickets are hard enough to get.

This is old news but STS9 is an amazing band...drugs or no drugs. No need to hate. If you dont feel this way...why look at the bands tour dates?

Bisco requires drugs. STS9 does not.

lately bisco and the tribe are pretty weak imo. but those tour dates are mighty nice, might have to hit up the congress, hopefully they use some instruments instead of just loops, samples, and button pushin...

dankenstein is right, why are people at bisco and sts9 shows wear unbent brim hats?? doesn't that pretty much go against everything these scene of music stands for? Last time I checked most of the people at these shows are white kids???
