Jimmy Herring is unreal. He has so much flavor in his playing. I too would like to hear this.

This was a GREAT show- the Cox is an old restored theater that only holds about 350 people and you could walk right up and see the detailed artistry each of the guys brings to the table from up close, and you could literally stand there mesmerized by any one of them at any given time. It was tough to soak it all in, I'm guessing that's why the energy level and mentality (literally and figuratively) was VERY high. The song choices seemed to be equally divided between harder rocking> funk> and blues, with an emphasis on funk (or at least, the longer funky jams are the ones that stand out), thanks to the stellar rhythm section. This coupled with Jimmy & Steve's very different but VERY complimentary sounds created something there with some magic. There are no lightweights in this band. Sidenote: The article didn't mention they covered Down by the Seaside by Zeppelin.

what break by Panic are you talking about? They just announced a spring tour and a summer tour is in the works. Hopefully they'll bring this project out west with them

wow(sarcastically). ^ "mostly covers with a few originals"(genetic drift) & "a curious selection of cover material"(trigger hippy). another blind faith type project, no doubt. why don't more musicians play more original material? it is amazing what bands get away with nowadays.

to the person who said "Jimmy needs to get Aquarium Rescue Unit back together" about 3/4ths(Jimmy, Oteil, & Jeff Sipe) of the ARU will be touring starting in late April as part of the Jimmy Herring band promoting the studio album Lifeboat.

Hey Barstoolrodeo....I dont know about you, but I dont think Panic playing 6 shows in 2 cities is what you would call a "tour"...
