Jason Isbell & the 400 Unit Tour

Jason Isbell and The 400 Unit
"As happens in the Muscle Shoals tradition, The 400 Unit features keys, in this case in the form of Derry deBorga (ex-Son Volt), and that steamy Southern vibe really makes The 400 Unit shine. The sultry organ and soulful vocals set Isbell and band apart from the current gang of reverb-obsessed Americana folkers." - The Tripwire

Jason Isbell and The 400 Unit announce the second leg of their tour in support of their new self-titled album. The new dates (presented by Paste Magazine) will begin after SXSW in Memphis, TN, and include a West Coast run. The tour concludes in Oxford, MS in late April. Justin Townes Earle will support on these dates. Fans can pre-order tickets through Front Gate Tickets via the link provided below.

The album will be released on February 17 on Lightning Rod Records. Waterloo Records is offering a pre-order for autographed CDs and double vinyl with CD insert. The label is also offering a free download of the single "Seven-Mile Island". Links for both are provided below.

A free MP3 of "Seven-Mile Island" from the new album is available here.

Was bummed when he left the Truckers but it looks like both are doing well apart. His first album was awesome and looking forward to the addition of keyboards. good songs, good songs people!

Yay for not using Ticketbastard, although some of those venues still do.

I am just fine with him and the Truckers apart. Jason was too good where he really does need his own thing where he is running show, while the Truckers are still kicking ass and taking names (less Isbell=more Cooley, which is fine by me)

Glad to see he's extending his tour! Can't wait for the Harrisonburg, VA date. But I gotta say...those of you who get to see Justin Townes Earle open up in April and May are in for a real treat! Color me jealous!
