SOUL COMES TO THE PACIFIC COAST!

San Diego, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Portland, and Seattle get ready! Fresh off a run of Australian dates, Sharon Jones and the Dap-Kings will be back in the US for a quick West Coast tour, beginning January 23 and running through the end of the month. Opening for the Queen of Funk and her venerable rhythm section will be the rollicking NYC-based Bulgarian and Balkan folk music group Ivan Milev Band.

Sharon Jones & The Dap-Kings will also be playing what is turning out to be a yearly recurring Valentine's Day show in New York, and will be at the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival on April 26.

GODDAMN IT! I was hoping when I saw Westcoast dates; AZ would be on there, but of course AZ is consistantly overlooked:( I still love ya Sharon, her shows are one of a kind and make you shake your groove thang. I'm sure the Jazz Fest will be ridiculous being her Hometown. At least I caught her show there for Voodoo Fest

Ahh, Mass MoCA is an awesome place. Saw Dr. John there a few years ago. Might even make the trek back home for that one!
