How could anybody handle a whole weekend of these guys. One set is way more then enough. If you've heard one song, you've heard them all.

does jambase just read jambands.com website to annouce things on jambands. then post it themselves?

I say that cus every announement made on this site (lately) that has been made about jambands (hans whatever else they post in their news columns) has been made by jambands.com then here about 2 hours later.

thought it was a coincidence... but after it happens 10/20 times in a row.... you start to wonder.

if you would like to hire me... i will be on top of it jambase. get the best news, about the best bands, before anyone else. contact me ...

this sounds like it means no STS9 at 10000 lakes festival this year... thats too bad.... CoreyBauer, I know Jambase is located in San Fran and they are looking for interns... But, they also accept show reviews and other information from fans... so if you have a new piece way before anyone else I would tell them and they will put it up there... obviously if you are serious only posting something in the comment board is not the best way to go about working for Jambase... send them an e-mail...

ohh.... and I have one more thing... I dont know about the jambands.com being quicker to release breaking news when compared to jambase.com... but, jambands.com is more of a over-extended blog site, rather than a professionally laid out website that features way more information about the artists and local concerts... I know you weren't claiming that jambands.com is better, I dont know how you feel about that issue... but I will absolutely say that Jambase is the best website I have found for news, reviews, band info, etc... keep up the good work!

i think they need to take a break, saw some recent shows and was not impressed; rest, regroup, and go back on the road because this band rules when they are on.

I thought this was going to be abount tribe's time expiring. Like the powers of the crystals had run out or something. That almost screwed up our powerful vibes man. Here's to them retiring so i don't have the slightest chance of being put to sleep at another latenight performance.

NYE was sick!!!! i will be at one of the shows next weekend at the wiltern too, should be a good time. these guys are super talented, its impossible not to rage at one of their shows.

sts9 is on fire right now!! They just put out a new record, why would they take a break? I've listened to them for quite a while and right now, they are on top of their game. You probably just don't like electronic music, simple as that.

Widespread1988 says STS9 is repetitive... Have you heard a Widespread show lately? Saw the new years show and all I could hear was the same guitar riffs over and over. I couldn't understand a damn word any of them said all night. They should take a cue from Tribe, cut the lyrics, and just rock out.

STS9 crowds are so horrible now that they have gotten big the first time i saw them back in 03 or 04 not many people knew about them and it was a good time now everytime i see them theres a bunch of douche bags ruining the show for everyone

weird so in 02 and 03 when u first heard about them they were cool but now b/c they have a larger fanbase the crowd sucks? If u think the sts9 crowd is bad please expalain what band today has the "cool" crowd. I was just wondering b/c I have found the sts9 fans to be chill and really into the music...so please tell me what show i should go to for the best crowd so I can be awesome

agreed smokey. tribe crowds are the shit! I've met some of the most amazing people at their shows. but it's only for those of us who can handle having such a good time.

these shows are going to be absolutely ridiculous. after 4 nights in atlanta I am fiending for moooore!! 13 shows in 2008, can't wait to see what's in store for the 09 =)

Good point smokey, i really want to know where this awesome crowd everyone talks about is? Do people not realize that pretty much everyone in this scene sees just about the same bands. Quit kidding yourself like you are the "clean" drug user. Last time i checked widespread was a bunch of drunk frat boys singing about a trip the liquor store. Whenever im at an sts9 show, i always think to myself, "damn i wish there were more polo's and boating shoes." HA.

i agree most crowds arent that great i just ran into a bunch of assholes the last time i saw them and it really turned me away from seeing them live i still like their music and if they are playing at a festie im at im sure i will go see them i know i shouldnt let a few bad cats ruin seeing a good band for me but it happens that way sometimes

i saw these guys for free in tallahassee back in 99 at this place called the cow haus(now torndown). It was a decent show. Saw them maybe once or twice after that but never really saw how anyone could follow these guys around.

No disrespect, but It actually reminded me of night at the roxbury "what is love?...baby dont hurt me...dont hurt me...no more"

I miss the old tribe...don't really dig what they've been doing the last two years. Oh well, have fun tribe fans.

Tribe at red rocks is epic. Colorado fans are were its at. I have seen these guys almost 20 times in the past year, coast to coast. I had a blast at every show, however some shows have a dirty scene than others. For all you haters out there give them another shot. The last 2 years at red rocks has had the best fans I have every witnessed at one of there shows. Honestly who cares if the dude next to you is drooling all over him self, as long as long as its not on me I'm cool.

I agree Cavemandan STS9 is one of the most boring bands on the planet. I've forced myself to see them 5 or 6 times over the last 9 years and was constantly dissapointed. I hope all their fans stop sniffing each others farts out of wine glasses and realize there is actua;;y "good" music out there. Not the tired bullmess these crystal worshippers serve up night after night
