wow. first of all, the venues that mule played look absolutely awesome. I like how they did a nice grunge medley on NYE and i bet that "can't you see" encore was fantastic. Love to see the slip keepin their heads above water. Saw'em on the 27th and they broke out some old favorites. This New Years looked like one of the best ever.

Broesau, NYE was dubbed Temple of the Mule, hence the Temple of the Dog/Soundgarden covers. Pete Thorn is in the Chris Cornell band, so I assume that had some play on it as well. Nirvana, I have no idea, but I bet they sounded great!

WHEN THEY SAY "ONE" ON THE SETLIST ARE THEY TALKING ABOUT METALLICA?? MULE PLAYING A METALLICA SONG THAT HEAVY???

Anyone? That would be sick!

I'm pretty sure that "One" was a cover of U2's one. Warren does it a lot on acoustic.

On another note, I have heard a version of Metallica's "Nothing Else Matters" with Warren singing.

I was at both the 12/30 and 12/31 Mule shows. Both were amazing. The setlist for the 2nd set on NYE had "The Seattle Set" printed on the top of the page and that's why they played Pearl Jam, Alice In Chains, Temple of the Dog, Soundgarden, and Nirvana (all seattle grunge bands). Even the event t-shirt has a picture of the Seattle Space Needle and a big combat boot. Definitely the best show I've been to for sure. And 'Can't You See' was a GREAT way to end the show. If you haven't gotten this show from muletracks.com yet, definitely do yourself a favor and get it!
