Ben Gibbard & Zooey D. Engaged

I love Zooey. She was great in Elf and almost Famous and she & Him is one of the best albums of the year. But what's Death Cab For Cutie? Whatever it is I'm sure its not as good the fact that the Dead and Phish are touring this year!!!! Woo-hoooo

Not trying to be a dick here Dead Spring Tour Here I Come!!, but you're familiar with She and Him and have never heard of Death Cab for Cutie? They're moderately popular. They're also one of my least favorite bands as Ben Gibbard's voice makes me want to kill myself (interestingly for some reason I love it in The Postal Service, not sure how to explain that one?). This has ruined my day, I thought perhaps I could marry Zooey D. someday...

I love her and am happy for them, BUT I have to agree with OurBandCouldBeYourLife. Death Cab for Cutie is a TERRIBLE F'ING BAND!!! UHHHHH...I LOATHE THEM! However, oddly enough, I do like the Postal Service.

This is fun music-related news. Stop whining, people. If Benevento or someone else was getting married to some interesting musician, you'd want to know and be excited. And I ask everyone who says the hate death cab to read the lyrics of their newest cd, Narrow Stairs. Don't even listen to the music, just read. I wasn't sold on the music, but I actually checked out the lyrics on their own, and it's just marvelous. Ben is a huge fan of Kerouac and he wrote a lot of this album on Big Sur. Y'all need to give folks more credit. Have your own opinion...but...give 'em another shot.
