Wild & Free: The Radiators 30th Anniversary Tour Continues

The Radiators
Legendary New Orleans rockers The Radiators will close out 2008 by continuing to do what they do best: Hitting The Road. Supporting Wild & Free, a two-disc compilation that covers all phases of their career (including 2 brand new tracks) the band will close out 2008 starting at The Crystal Bay Casino in Lake Tahoe and finish up the year with their annual four-night run from 12/28-12/31 at Café Du Nord in San Francisco. The Rads immediately kick off 2009 with stops at The Key Club in Los Angeles 1/2 and at the House of Blues in San Diego on 1/3. The tour resumes with two nights, 1/8-9 at Rick & Kelly's in Edwards, CO and continues with stops in Denver, Teton Village and Salt Lake City. The band begins their 31st year together with a two-night run at Tipitina's in New Orleans on 1/23-1/24.

Still consisting of the same five original members, Ed Volker (keyboards, vocals), Dave Malone (guitar, vocals), Camile Baudoin (guitar), Reggie Scanlan (bass) and Frank Bua, Jr. (drums), the Rads continue to be road warriors playing over 150 shows a year. Wild & Free (Radz 1111) was released in July 2008 and is the first in a series of in depth retrospectives that the band plans on releasing while at the same time recording and releasing new material.

I guess I dont "get it"???? I guess thats one less smelly hippie I have to deal wit at a Radiators show. Any band that can make a living at this for 30 years deserves a little respect.
