GRACE POTTER AND THE NOCTURNALS
ROCK THE (OPERA) HOUSE WITH NEW DIGITAL EP RELEASE LIVE FROM SKOWHEGAN
Grace Potter & the Nocturnals |
Hailed as one of today's most exciting live bands, Grace Potter and the Nocturnals are set to release their first-ever live recording, Live From Skowhegan. Culled from a concert given at the Skowhegan Opera House in Skowhegan, Maine, on June 27 of this year, the EP features Grace and the band performing two new songs "Can't See Through" and "Sugar"" as well as four favorites from their two previous studio albums. Live From Skowhegan will be available for download on iTunes and other digital outlets December 23, 2008.
Produced, written and arranged by the band, Live From Skowhegan includes six tracks: "Ragged Company," "Stop The Bus," "Apologies," "Ah Mary," "Can't See Through" and "Sugar." Based in Burlington, VT, Grace Potter and the Nocturnals have made a name for themselves as one of New England's most popular bands, so it was only fitting they record a debut live EP in their home region.
The Skowhegan concert came as part of a yearlong headlining tour that took the band all over the country. Led by 25-year-old singer/songwriter/Hammond organ virtuoso Grace Potter, the quartet has earned countless fans and critical raves with their 2007 Ragged Company/Hollywood CD This is Somewhere. Guitarist Scout Tournet, bassist Bryan Dondero and drummer Matthew Burr round out the lineup.
